    Description

    Super Star Car Wash is a leader in providing car wash, detail, and lubrication services to customers in Arizona and California. Our mission is to provide fast, high quality, professional service in a friendly atmosphere, along with a smile while creating a reward team member environment.

    **Position Summary:**

    As a lead cashier you will use your previous experience to ensure a consistently high-quality customer experience at check-out. You will train cashiers on drawer accuracy and interactions with customer. You will maintain staffing levels as appropriate and act as the backup as needed. You will ensure the check out area is kept clean and safe.

    An ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience as a cashier and have a customer focused attitude with a passion for motivating and training others. You will partner with the Store Manager to minimize inventory loss.

    **Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:**

    Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register.

    Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.

    Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons.

    Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.

    Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number; operating credit card authorization system.

    Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.

    Provides pricing information by answering questions.

    Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

    Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Troubleshoot and escalate issues with the cash register and other equipment

    Maintain schedule for cashiers and ensure coverage during all shifts

    Train and oversee cashiers

    Understand product placement at the store to answer customer questions

    Ensure accurate drawer reconciliation at the end of each shift

    Serve as backup for any cashiers calling out

    Track cashier break schedules

    **Qualifications for Lead Cashier**

    3+ years previous experience as a cashier

    Ability to pass a background check

    Keen ability to multitask

    Must demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude

    On-time with reliable transportation

    Willingness to train and mentor others

    Ability to frequently lift 15+ pounds

    Experience reconciling registers

    Superior customer service skills

    **Minimum Job Requirements:**

    Previous cashiering experience

    High School Diploma or GED

    Must be at least 21 years old

    Requires the ability to interact with others, interpret spoken messages and utilize reason to resolve complex problems. Requires keyboarding, hearing and talking, frequent standing and walking, and frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, kneeling, being mobile on uneven surfaces, squeezing and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds (occasional up to 45#).
