- Assist in conducting site inspections and gathering necessary measurements and data.
- Support the preparation of cost analyses including labor, material, and time estimates.
- Help compile and organize project documentation and proposals.
- Engage with suppliers to gather price quotes and material specifications.
- Maintain and update project files and databases to ensure accuracy and readiness.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to learn from on-the-job experiences and apply best practices.
- Participate in client meetings and project briefings as needed.
- Assist in the review of architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance and feasibility.
- Associate's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge of construction and roofing processes is preferred.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn industry-specific software.
- Strong Computer Skills, and experience with web based applications.
- Ability to type 55-65 words per minute, minimum.
- 10-key by touch preferred, but not required.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
