Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential roofing, with a proven track record of accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed proposals, and managing client relationships throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough site inspections to gather data on roofing conditions and dimensions.
Calculate project costs including materials, labor, and time required to complete projects, considering client budgets and project constraints.
Prepare detailed project proposals and bids, ensuring all client requirements and specifications are addressed.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify project scopes and requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations.
Use specialized software for estimation and project management tasks.
Follow up with inside sales team post-bid to answer questions, provide revisions and secure contracts.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in construction estimation, with a focus on residential roofing is preferred, but not required.
Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong Computer Skills, and experience with web based applications.
Ability to type 55-65 words per minute, minimum.
10-key by touch preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of residential construction processes and materials.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
Adept at managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Certification in Project Estimation or a related field is preferred.
