    Description

    ChemDAQ, Inc., a rapidly-growing, leading-edge technology and manufacturing company based in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a VP of Sales to serve as a member of the company's senior management team and lead Sales and Marketing efforts. ChemDAQ is a well-established company that has spent more than two decades establishing market share, and we are on the brink of significant growth and expansion.

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a strategic mindset to help guide the sales function of our business as we grow and scale. This position comes at an exciting time, as the selected candidate will have the opportunity to get in on the next level of this growth and help guide the short and long-term direction of our company to position ChemDAQ for lasting success.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop annual sales plan to deliver revenue per the Business Plan and the company's Strategic Priorities
    • Lead ChemDAQ's direct sales team to perform to quota including weekly team meetings and one-on-one coaching
    • Provide weekly forecasts
    • Assist with indirect sales efforts with ChemDAQ's channel partners
    • Create and report on key performance metrics for sales and marketing
    • Develop and execute against annual sales/marketing budget
    • Act as a conduit of customer feedback for product development teams
    • Maintain detailed, working knowledge of market drivers, trends, and relevant news
    • Represent ChemDAQ, as appropriate, on various industry groups and forums
    • Travel as needed to customer sites, industry events, and trade shows
    • Take ownership of the sales value chain from interest creation to final decision
    • Regularly assess performance of sales function and implement efforts for improvement
    • Hire, train, coach and mentor new direct sales team members
    • Collaborate with managers of Customer Account Management, Quality, Technical Services, etc. to improve internal processes to support growth and scale of the company

    Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years experience in a sales leadership role. An MBA is a plus.
    • Demonstrated track record of selling technology-based products and services into a variety of markets
    • Must be equally comfortable in plant and executive office environments and able to establish credibility and rapport with customers and prospects
    • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and professional integrity
    • Experience in communicating directly with executives across industries
    • Ability to leverage salesforce reporting and dashboard functionality to serve up sales KPIs and increase visibility
    • Must value discipline and accountability
    • Must have a process and data-oriented approach to managing sales team performance
    • Must be a closer with executive presence
    • Experience selling into manufacturing and healthcare sectors preferred
    • Infectious energy and enthusiasm to motivate the sales team and channel partners
