    STAFF ACCOUNTANT

    Job description

    Our Client is seeking to add a Staff Accountant to our team If you are an independent thinker that would like to work in a dynamic and growing company, we would love to hear from you

    Responsibilities Include

    • Prepare monthly general journal entries and provide accounting and analytical support to Management during the month end close process.
    • Prepare inter-company, consolidating and elimination entries.
    • Prepare schedules and analysis in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
    • Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information for preparation of financial reports for month end.
    • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
    • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, including prepaid and accruals, for general accounting.
    • Conduct monthly, quarterly and year-end close to ensure that all financial activities have been accounted for and reconciled to the proper general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and appropriate recording of financial information.
    • Support management with special projects such as the implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls.
    • Perform other job related functions as assigned.

    Requirements

    • At least 3 years' experience in Accounting
    • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
    • Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects as needed
    • Approachable and able to interact with staff at all levels in a rapidly changing environment
    • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
    • Experience with Oracle ERP is a plus
