    The Role:
    Staff Accountant


    The Staff Accountant will assist with the day-to-day activities of the accounting function to actualize the accounting policies that are currently established.

    This position will help in ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger complies with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP). This role will aid in helping to maintain the highest levels of quality and proactively minimize operational risk.

    This role will collaborate with our external business process outsourcing partners and with our internal teams and departments to ensure accurate financial information.


    What you'll do:

    • Enter daily cash activity, journal entries, reclasses, accruals, credit card transactions, and other transactions, as applicable.
    • Assist with month-end close in preparing journal entries and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Perform credit and collections activities, including but not limited to: creating invoices, performing collections, reviewing accounts, and preparing other ad-hoc reports
    • Assist with the accounts payable process, specifically entering invoices for payment, reviewing vendor credits, weekly payment reports, and matching invoices to purchase orders.
    • Review daily mail and correspondence in order to identify items relevant for operations of the business.
    • Preparation of any ad-hoc reports that may arise to be provided by the Accounting team.
    • Develop strong internal relationships with members of various teams to effectively support business activity.

    What you'll bring:

    • Bachelor's in Accounting or similar
    • Work experience - 1 to 2 years
    • Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus
    • High proficiency in MS Excel
    • Experience with ERP system (preferably NetSuite)
    • Coachable, willing to learn, and organized

    • This is a full-time position. This position may occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

    • This position requires up to 5% travel in and out of state

    • Prolonged periods working on a computer and sitting at a desk.
    • Ability to see/hear and use finger dexterity to operate a keyboard and mouse

    • Frequent exposure to moderate noise
    • Ability to work onsite at our Wynwood location
