Job DescriptionJob Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment of employees
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Manage profit and loss statements and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop financial forecasts and budgets
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in financial management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
Prior experience in the construction, manufacturing, or commercial building service space
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Strong understanding of financial management, planning, and analysis
- Proficient in payroll processing and tax regulations
- Excellent negotiation skills for managing vendor contracts
- Solid technical accounting skills with experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
