    Excellent Temp-to-Hire opportunity fir ab Accountant that will report to the Finance Manager. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in performing diverse accounting tasks, maintaining effective communication with colleagues, managing both routine and specialized assignments, and striving for continual enhancement of internal processes. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that starts working onsite and will go hybrid working 2-3 days in the office once converted to a full time employee.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, encompassing account reconciliations, journal entry postings, fixed asset management, cash flow analysis, and related activities.
    • Engage in budgeting tasks such as creating, monitoring, and synthesizing budgetary data for presentation to management.
    • Conduct reconciliation of cash accounts and balance sheet items.
    • Prepare technical reports required by various government entities at federal, state, and local levels.
    • Utilize technical accounting systems to record financial transactions, generate ad hoc financial reports, and monitor General Ledger activities.
    • Provide support during annual financial interim and final audit processes.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, or a related field.
    • Possess a solid grasp of financial and accounting principles.
    • Previous experience in non-profit accounting.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics, issues, or problems effectively and succinctly.
    • Proficient to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial systems, ERP software, or similar enterprise platforms.
    • Capable of comprehending and executing oral and written instructions.
    • Skilled in establishing and nurturing cooperative working relationships with individuals encountered during the course of work.
    • Preferably 2-4 years of prior accounting experience.
