Description

BioMed Realty is looking for an Accountant to assist the Property Accounting group.

The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team to provide financial and accounting support for a portfolio of properties; including auditing and closing books, preparing statements and establishing and maintaining accurate records.

This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements for multiple propertiesReview and approve invoicesReconcile balance sheet accountsPrepare variance analysesReview special billings, including CAM, property tax and insurance billings, and manual billings for coding and accuracy of documentationAssist with annual budget process for assigned portfolioGenerate journal entries plus any other applicable journal entries and other functions related to the portfolio

Job Specifications:
BA/BS in Accountancy, Finance or related field2-3 years of accounting experience with an emphasis in real estate industry preferredSolid understanding of basic Accounting principles and ability to apply them to day-to-day responsibilitiesExperience with accounting software, MRI preferredProficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook requiredDetail-oriented with strong follow-through skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Salary Range:
$ $38.00 per hour + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider location, experience, and other job-related factors.
