Services include requirements analysis, engineering, facility and systems design, systems integration and installation, customization, programming, maintenance, support, translation and interpretation, and training.
Description Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will perform in the role of an German Instructor with the required teaching experience and learning methodology.
Instructors will provide 3 to 5 hours of instruction daily in course related material at S/L/R from 0 to 3.
In addition to your teaching curriculum the ideal candidate will engage in tester training to become a certified language tester and conduct 3 to 4 languages per week.
All instructors must be able to develop class materials, training aids to meet the needs for your classes.This position has the responsibility to instruct students in speaking a foreign language and assimilate the country and its surroundings in order to teach the culture through concise communication.
Lastly, you will be required to ensure professional performance during working hours.*This position does not provide relocation accommodations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Near native proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in German
Must also have near native proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in English
Must have good understanding and be familiar with current events where the regional dialects are spoken.
Educational / Work Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or Language preferred
Instructors need at least two year of teaching, or 8 to 12 years of prior relevant experience.

Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
Writing reports
Selection in various media
Interface
This position will interact with both internal and external customers to include members of FedSys Senior Management and the US Interagency Community.
All candidates will be required to take a Basic English Test (BET) (one hour) pass a Translation Assessment (TA), take and pass Speaking/Listening/Reading S/L/R each o/a three hours
Testing Requirements:
Minimum S/L/R 4-4+ for translation
Security Requirements
The selected individual must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment. The selected individual may/will be subject to a government security background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Clearance level requirement may be subject to change at the government's discretion.
In this event, you will be required to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the duration of your employment.
Incumbent may be selected at a higher or lower clearance level as specified by any change made by the GovernmentMust possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Linguists cannot begin work on contract without a fully
adjudicated security clearance.
