Driving Instructor Job Summary

Driving Instructor Duties and Responsibilities
Provide behind-the-wheel driving lessons for students

Create lesson plans for behind the wheel driving

Administer road tests at the DC DMV

Provide "Road Test Preparation" courses

Evaluate students progress, providing feedback as needed

Communicate with clients or students' parents as needed


Driving Instructor Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate

25 years or older

Relevant driver's license

Driving instructor certification (which can be taken after interview at the DC DMV)

Strong teaching and communication skills

Clean driving record

Spanish and English speaking preferred

Ability to pass a background check


Pay:
$25.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No more than 40 per week

• Driving: 5 years (required)
