    Job Description and Duties

    This position is located in the city of Sacramento .

    The Department of Rehabilitation is seeking a highly-skilled specialist that will provide leadership within the assigned program area. Under the general direction of the Administrative Services Division Deputy Director, the Labor Relations Officer performs complex labor relations work and is responsible for the management of the Department's Labor Relations Program as mandated by the Ralph C. Dills Act (or State Employer-Employee Relations Act). The incumbent is also responsible for planning, organizing, and executing Department's programs and projects that impact issues under the scope of representation (wages, hours, and term and conditions of employment).The successful candidate will be required to manage projects and assignments while working under pressure and multiple deadlines. The incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. The incumbent must also be able to deal with changes effectively and have a forward-thinking mindset.
