    Description

    Is labor relations your passion? If so, the Department of General Services is seeking a subject matter expert to provide crucial assistance to executive staff, managers, and supervisors. You'll confidently navigate the intricate world of labor relations, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the Fair Labor Standards Act and the California Code of Regulations; and skillfully handle all collective bargaining efforts. But there's more As our Labor Relations Analyst /Labor Relations Specialist, you'll serve as the primary resource for technical expertise, training, and guidance on the department's most sensitive and complex labor issues.

    As the Labor Relations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

    · Provide consultation in contract administration.

    · Research, analyze, and interpret labor law practices and MOUs to ensure compliance.

    · Investigate and resolve employe grievances and complaints.

    We are looking for someone who has:

    • Experience and Knowledge with the State's Labor Relations bargaining units and processes.
    • Experience working with CalHR Labor Relations.
    • Positive working relationships with labor unions and excluded representative organizations.
    • Develop and deliver in-house training on contract administration, unfair labor practices, and grievance handling.
