    ***Local candidates only, this is on-site 5 days per week in Wheaton, IL***

    Human Resource Manager

    *Official title is HR Manager but this will be an individual contributor role to start and eventually hire a Coordinator/Generalist to report to this person. This role will handle a mix of Generalist responsibilities in the meantime. This reports to the Director of HR.

    Direct Hire/Perm

    Must Have:

    *Bachelor's degree

    *5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience (including benefits, employee relations, recruiting, etc)

    *Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to, EEO, ADA, OSHA and FLSA.

    Nice to Have:

    *SHRM or similar HR Certification

    *Paycom experience

    Job Summary:

    The Human Resources manager will administer the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs under the direction of the HR Director. Suggest new concepts for improving the employee experience as well as the efficiency of the HR department and Company, while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.

    Responsibilities:

    Administer employee reviews, check-ins, and exit interviews.

    • Manage benefits programs, including 401K and profit-sharing records.
    • Serve as payroll backup for various tasks.
    • Collaborate on talent strategy, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
    • Facilitate weekly HR forums and ensure compliance with training requirements.
    • Handle employment-related inquiries and foster positive interactions.
    • Oversee disciplinary meetings and maintain legal compliance.
    • Overseeing employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Supporting management in implementing organizational change initiatives and fostering a positive company culture.
    • Assisting in communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee resources (handbook, directory, org chart).
    • Creating learning and development programs for internal growth.
    • Facilitating quarterly manager calibration meetings.
    • Completing quarterly compliance audits.
    • Conducting bi-weekly site visits to various locations.
    • Staying informed about HR trends and actively engaging with colleagues to improve processes.
    • Cooperatively taking on assigned duties.
