Compensation:
Starting at $65K Annually


$300 Sign-On Bonus After The Completion of the 90-Day Probationary Period


The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in some or all the following functional areas: benefits administration, HRIS and HR reporting, employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, and policy implementation.


Essential Functions

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Maintaining human resource information system records and compiling reports from the database.
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations.
  • Serving as the COBRA administrator for the company.
  • Ensuring employee understanding of benefits programs through regular communication and counseling.
  • Acting as a liaison with insurance carriers and fostering effective relationships with client representatives.
  • Serving as a resource for payroll/HR contacts to ensure compliance with benefits and HR policies.
  • Preparing government reports related to EEO compliance or other HR functions.
  • Monitoring employee eligibility for benefits plans and processing enrollment, cancellation, or changes.
  • Conducting newemployee orientations and assisting with employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Managing Workers Compensation Claims and OSHA reporting.
  • Investigating and resolving associate relations issues.
  • Demonstrating skill in data analysis techniques.

  • Assisting with FMLA/Leave administration reporting and processing.
  • Managing timecards for temp staffing and reconciling invoices with staffing agencies.
  • Overseeing companywide events.
  • Conducting regular HR audits for compliance
  • Reviewing and processing all unemployment claims.
  • Assisting with policy addendums and updates.
  • Reviewing and advising on changes regarding temp staffing contracts.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.


Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field and two to four years of experience in a human resource generalist role.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential is a plus.
  • Must have intermediate computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and knowledge of Google‐based programs such as Google Sheets/Docs.

Work Authorization
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
