Under the general supervision of the Assistant Chief Counsel in the Tax and Fee Programs Bureau (TFPB), the Legal Secretary provides secretarial and administrative support for the attorneys and other administrative team members within the TFPB.
The Legal Secretary prepares, edits, proofreads, scans, and finalizes a variety of legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, evidentiary exhibits, forms, and publications.
The Legal Secretary is responsible for managing mail, telephone calls, and other incoming communication, as directed; for maintaining and utilizing databases and systems for TFPB programs and assignments; for calendaring deadlines related to TFPB's essential functions; and for preparing travel arrangements and travel expense claims.
