Flexible / Hybrid Work SchedulesWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Manager to Join our Team. Project Engineers to Project Manager Level candidates.
This person will be responsible for participating and leading the design and/or project management of mechanical building systems, preparing detailed mechanical engineering design calculations and drawings of mechanical systems, from schematics through construction administration, on a wide range of building types.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Engineering Consulting firm in NYC, experience performing Mechanical / HVAC Systems Design using AutoCAD or Revit.
Projects consist of New and Existing facility upgrades for Commercial and Light industrial facilities, including Commercial & Residential High-Rises, Mid-Rises, Mixed Use, Higher Education, hotels, Life Sciences, Institutional, etc.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or UniversityEIT or PE License Desired
Proven Project experience in Commercial, Public Sector, Educational (K-12 / Higher Education), Justice, and/or Civic Projects
Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts, and detailed engineering reports and narratives.
Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
Actively engage in community and/or industry-specific organizations that will build the DLR Group brand.
Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design
An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.
