Demand Planner

The Demand Planner plays a key role within the KTLP Supply Chain. This role is highly analytical and ensures that the company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. The Demand Planner will have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical forecasting policies to successfully estimate future product demand, analyze inventory flow, and develop forecast models.

Position Responsibilities

• Use statistical modeling software to develop and implement effective forecast profiles based on industry trends and demand patterns.
• Organize and lead monthly consensus forecast review meetings with key stake holders to identify required changes in the demand plan and achieve consensus driven by discussion of key initiatives, significant business events, changes in promotional plans, and forecasting accuracy.
• Accurately reflect discussed changes in the demand plan, follow up on action items, and confirm Sales' agreement with the new plan. Drive any demand shaping due to supply constraints.
• Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning, forecast and inventory health across all segments.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Manage weekly/daily forecast adjustment process; coordinate updates into MRP.
• Conduct monthly forecast maintenance, using SAP Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
• Monitor and analyze demand planning KPI to identify areas of possible improvement and provide visibility to senior leadership.
• Provide timely and accurate response to demand and forecast related inquiries from all areas of the organization, including day-to-day resolution of critical issues affecting the Supply Chain.
• Quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions and promptly resolve any issues.
• Complete special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in a forecasting/demand planning role.
• In-depth understanding of advanced supply chain principles and mathematical and forecasting policies.
• Must Have a solid understanding of statistical software used for forecasting.
• PowerPoint proficiency to present forecast, analysis, and tracking of data in a corporate friendly presentation during S&OP meetings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, SAP, Microsoft Office.

• Continuous keyboard and screen usage for several hours a day.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Some heavy lifting may be required, up to 20 lbs. (utilizing safe lifting techniques, assisted lifting, and/or team lifts).
• Capable of standing on a concrete floor or similar surface or sitting for several hours a day.
• Position requires periodic walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required. Ability to push, pull, grasp required.
• Regular, reliable and predictable onsite attendance necessary.
