You will lead a team of production planners and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory targets, and operational capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize manufacturing processes.
Job DescriptionProduction Scheduling:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and timely completion of production orders
Capacity Planning:
Assess production capacity and resource constraints to optimize production schedules, identify bottlenecks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets
Inventory Management:
Work closely with inventory control teams to manage inventory levels, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stockouts while ensuring sufficient stock availability to meet customer demand
Material Planning:
Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast material requirements, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Liaise with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, engineering, and quality assurance, to coordinate production activities, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor production performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory turnover, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve production targets and KPIs
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization of production planning workflows to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs
Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to the production planning team, mentor team members, and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems; experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is desirable.
