An experienced accountant performing assigned month end accounting functions at an advanced level, and supporting year-end audits and special projects. This position will be fully responsible for the accounting oversight of the Companys inventory, including suggesting improvements to the existing process and maintaining proper SOX documentation. This person will directly partner with the operations contacts to ensure inventory is accurate and that the businesss needs are being met.

**Essential Functions**

40% Manage Process Improvement & Business Partnership

+ Partner with business contacts in inventory to identify areas for improvement and determine revised processes as well as provide reporting to assist with decision making

+ Participate and design improvements to cycle count process

+ Ensure proper documentation is retained for SOX purposes

+ Oversee inventory system upgrades and new functionality implementation

30% Monthly Close

+ Prepare journal entries

+ Prepare reconciliations

+ Prepare and analyze significant estimates such as inventory reserves

+ Perform required variance analysis to forecast and actuals

+ Present at monthly P&L and cost center reviews

15% Audit

+ Prepare required audit schedules

+ Respond to auditor requests

15% Other Tasks as Assigned

+ Special projects

+ Develop and train staff and interns as necessary

+ Assist in research and conclusion on technical issues related to inventory

**Qualifications**

1 to 3 years of previous accounting experience required

BS Degree in Accounting preferred

Certified Public Accountant preferred

Month-end close experience, including journal entries and reconciliations, required

Financial reporting preferred

**Salary Range:** $49,140-$63,000
