    Description

    About The Opportunity:


    Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking an analytical team player with plant-based cost accounting experience and a sound understanding of the principles of financial accounting to collaborate with our manufacturing and financial staff to provide financial and accounting support.


    Responsibilities:
    Collect and analyze data regarding operational costs
    Set standard costs of manufactured goods
    Develop and analyze cost standards
    Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis
    Establish cost of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
    Perform account reconciliations
    Prepare audit reports and present their findings to management
    Recommend changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
    Advise executives and management on appropriate costing based on financial data
    Manage the company's balance sheet and accounting books
    Support other company accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure


    Additional Notes:
    Cost accounting – analyzes all data associated with producing the product
    Includes material cost, direct labor of employees, and overhead of the factory
    Experience supporting manufacturing locations based in the US
    SAP experience is highly preferred


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    3-5+ years of plant-based cost accounting with experience in factory or plant manufacturing
    Strong financial analysis skills with in-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
    Excellent attention to detail with strong financial analysis, communication, organizational, analytical, listening, team building and computer skills including Excel proficiency and knowledge of financial reporting software tools and ERP software (SAP experience)
    Ability to create a budget for a business, perform risk and security assessments and prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data
    Participation in CI and Lean initiatives is a plus
