ATS Scientific Products is currently seeking a
Director, Cost Accounting to join our finance team.


This role will drive a broad range of cost accounting operations including standard cost modeling, inventory valuation, and accounting close procedures and controls, ensuring financial accuracy and providing insightful cost analysis to support strategic business decisions.

This role will partner closely with teams across global organization, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Accounting,


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Act as a key contributor in the development of Cost Accounting strategy and operationalize the strategy within assigned area.
  • Oversee and manage inventory valuation and standard costing processes, as well as other key judgements.
  • Lead monthend close procedures, including preparing/reviewing critical and complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial flux and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leaders to understand supplier reconciliations, production schedules, contracts, inventory movements and related matters to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Optimize KPIs and operational performance reporting to support strategic decision making.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal cost accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure SOX compliance for responsible area, including the development and implementation of improvements to current controls.
  • Drive preparation of deliverables and collaborative interactions with internal and external auditors in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Provide leadership and take accountability for identifying and driving process and systems improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Master's degree or CPA preferred
  • JDE or other major ERP system experience
  • Minimum of 710yrs. progressive experience in Costing and Inventory Accounting,
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop a high performing team
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principes
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages and ERP tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal sills with the ability to collaborate and influence crossfunction teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and drive results.
  • Travel requirement: Approximate 1020% Travel
