Cost Accountant

Turbo Solutions, located in Pennsauken NJ, is a leading wholesale supplier of new and remanufactured Turbochargers, specializing in heavy and medium duty trucks. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform daily accounting activities and assist in the monthly close process
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses for management.
  • Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested.
  • Work with Controller to perform all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Work with Controller to manage inventory control and accuracy of perpetual.
  • Assist Controller with HR functions including payroll, 401k, and insurance.

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting or Finance Degree
  • 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GL & ERP systems, Microsoft Business Central preferred.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases, strong excel skillset
  • Inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing.
  • Familiar with sales and use tax returns.
  • Understanding of international shipping, tariffs, and customs
  • Solid organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions.
  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail along with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
