    Career Opportunity: ERP Solutions Consultant

    (Full-Time, Salaried with Commission)

    Client Company Background:

    My Client is a leading global provider of ERP software tailored specifically for the food and meat processing industries. Since its establishment in 1977 in Western Germany, the Company has evolved into a dynamic organization with a workforce of over 600 professionals spanning across 40 countries worldwide. Renowned for its innovative and customizable industry solutions, the Company remains committed to empowering businesses with cutting-edge ERP software that addresses their unique operational needs.

    Position Overview:

    As my Clients newest ERP Solutions Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional consulting services focused on the configuration, training and ongoing support of the Companys esteemed clients ERP software implementations. This role requires regular travel to client sites, occasional after-hours and weekend commitments and provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Companys North American operations, under the direct guidance of the Director of ERP Operations.

    The ideal candidate for this role would be one of the following:

    • An experienced ERP Solutions Consultant/Engineer from an ERP software solutions company with minimum 2-3 years working on ERP solutions for clients within the food/meat processing industry: OR
    • An experienced ERP/IT Manager working directly for a meat/food processing company with minimum 2-3 years experience and extensive knowledge sourcing, implementing and utilizing an ERP system.

    Notes:

    • Initial on-site training will be provided in Charlotte, NC and/or in Kitchener, ON (Canada); followed by international training at the Companys Germany head office (up to 5 weeks);
    • Once training has been completed (after first 6 months), the role may transition to hybrid or remote work setup;
    • If you reside in Kitchener, ON (Canada), there is a potential relocation requirement in 2024 to Charlotte, NC.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with clients to ascertain ERP solutions aligned with their unique business needs;
    • Strategize, configure and implement client ERP solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems;
    • Conduct comprehensive training sessions to empower clients in maximizing the utility of the ERP software;
    • Contribute to the development of compelling business cases advocating for the adoption of the Companys ERP solutions;
    • Thoroughly document processes and recommendations to facilitate knowledge transfer and future reference;
    • Provide on-call and help desk support, demonstrating agility in resolving client queries and concerns;
    • Foster cross-departmental collaboration and support across various company offices and functions;
    • Perform additional duties, as assigned;
    • Business travel within North America and Europe, as required, for projects.

    Educational Requirements:

    Bachelors degree or College diploma in Business, Finance, MIS, Food Science, Computer Science or related field. Relevant industry certifications are a definite asset.

    Work Experience/Skills Required:

    • The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
    • Must have a minimum 2-3 years of direct/progressive experience as an ERP or Enterprise Software Consultant OR ERP/IT Manager within the food and/or meat production industries;
    • 2-3 years experience with batch-processing industry workflows;
    • High proficiency in ERP software and demonstrated success in project implementations;
    • Exceptional client communication and interpersonal skills;
    • Demonstrated ability to train others, analyze processes and document findings effectively;
    • Strong analytical skills to tackle software issues and deliver practical solutions;
    • Solid understanding of database fundamentals;
    • Resiliency under pressure, with strong problem-solving and time management abilities;
    • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently and collaboratively;
    • Note: Working knowledge of German language would be beneficial, but is not essential.

    Compensation package includes competitive base and training salary, commission on billable hours, benefits and business expenses.
