Sales Manager

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of three outside sales representatives. Your primary objective will be to drive sales performance, exceed revenue targets, and ensure the team's overall success. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Team Leadership:**

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of three outside sales representatives.

Motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, encouraging open communication and teamwork.

2. **Sales Strategy and Planning:**

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales to set realistic sales goals and objectives aligned with overall business objectives.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

3. **Performance Management:**

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the sales team.

Set clear performance expectations and goals, tracking progress and addressing any performance issues promptly.

Implement performance improvement plans when necessary.

4. **Client Relationship Management:**

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts.

Collaborate with sales representatives to understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

5. **Sales Training and Development:**

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant training initiatives into the team's development plan.

6. **Reporting and Analysis:**

Regularly review and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports to the Director of Sales, highlighting key metrics and achievements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a similar industry.

Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a successful sales team.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Familiarity with CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
