    Description

    An asset management firm in New York City is currently seeking a new Finance Director to join their growing CRE Finance team.

    Responsibilities:

    The Finance Director will be responsible for:

    • Monthly closing, i.e. journal entry posting and rec on Investment Portfolio, bank/cash reconciliation, tracking expenses, liaise with AP
    • Assisting in preparation of quarterly SEC filings, i.e. 10Q/10K
    • Assisting in implementing of new reporting system
    • Assisting in preparation of presentations for board of directors & investors.
    • Acting as a liaison with deal team, legal, auditors
    • Maintaining workpapers that are SOX compliant
    • Performing other duties, as needed
    Qualifications:
    • 12+ years of experience in SEC reporting within SOX environment
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant Accounting standards
    • Proficiency in Financial Statement Analysis and the ability to communicate complex financial information
    • Microsoft Excel proficient
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Highly organized
    Desired Skills:
    • CPA and/or parts passed
    • Experience in application of ASC 810 - Consolidations, ASC 326 - CECL and ASC 842 - Leases
    • Experience in the Real Estate Finance industry
