In this pivotal role you will serve as the right hand to the Global Head of Data and be critical in driving strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and the execution of key projects within the department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic planning, project management, and data management practices, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.
This role is designed for a highly organized, strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of a large data department and facilitate alignment with the organization's broader strategic goals.
The role will have a significant impact on Columbia Threadneedle Investments in the way we manage data and information as a highly valued enterprise asset thus enabling optimal efficiency, quality and agility-for the benefit of our clients as well as internal sales, client management and marketing teams.
You will help lead a group of data focused employees located primarily in Minneapolis, London, and Noida (India) on delivery of data while continuously driving the firm toward more efficient and risk-controlled data flows and use of authoritative sources.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Development:
Assist in leading the department, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Mentor and develop emerging leaders within the team.
Procedure Development:
Collaborate with department leaders to develop, implement, and refine policies and procedures that support the data governance framework and data management practices.
Resource Management:
Assist with budget preparation and management. Ensure optimal allocation of resources for projects and operational needs.
Event Coordination:
Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, retreats, and other events. Ensure that key outcomes and action items are documented and followed up on.
