    Position Summary

    Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE) is an independent, nonprofit organization merging scientific knowledge and proven practice to create solutions that improve the health, safety and well-being of individuals, communities, and nations around the world.

    PIRE's Prevention Research Center located in Berkeley, CA is seeking to hire a dynamic Program Coordinator to manage a new project on the role of local structural stigma in alcohol related inequities among SGM young adults. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for all project management and administrative duties of the project. The overall goal of this 5-year project is to understand the impact of experiences with local structural stigma and discrimination on alcohol use among young adults who identify their gender and sexuality in ways that classify them as sexual and gender minorities. The study will be conducted in multiple cities within the state of California. There is no relocation assistance for this position. The Starting Rate Range for this position is $60,000 - $62,000 and the FTE is 80% - Full-time benefit eligible.

    Job Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Two or more years of experience in research project management, preferably with LGBTQ+ populations
    • Familiarity or connection to LGBTQ+ organizations in California
    • Experience with writing study reports and/or manuscripts
    • Eligible to work for any employer in the US
    • Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19
    Some Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    • Recruiting and tracking participants
    • Screening and coordinating participants for participation
    • Monitoring data, and providing incentives
    • Assisting with literature searches and accessing library materials
    • Collaborating in writing reports and manuscripts based on project data
    • Assisting in activities related to IRB
    • Assisting with the data management and sharing plan
