The OpportunityDataGrail is looking for a Controllerto build accounting andfinancial operations from the ground up.

As the first accounting hire, youwill apply everything youve learned in your career in a new way, creating best practices from day one.

Asa leader in a high growth company that has an incredible product, customer base and team, youll have extensive visibility into and direct participation in many key business decisions as a trusted partner to the leadership teamThe Skill SetLead the accounting close activities including processing off journal entries, managing the month-end close and preparation of all major balance sheet account reconciliations.

Run the Company's day to day accounting operations, including the general ledger, AP/AR, payroll review and other accounting activities.
Advise senior leadership on the technical accounting treatment for new transactions as they arise.
Coordinate with external financial and tax audits.
Prepare management reporting, financial statements and board presentations.
Drive the cross-functional business partnership with other department owners.

Evaluate and lead the continuous improvement of the Company's accounting practices, policies, control procedures, and system enhancements with a focus on scaling of the Company's processes and educating senior leadership about the implications to ensure continued compliance with US GAAP.Be the accounting organizations accounting subject matter expert, staying apprised of new system updates, providing training and guidance to new and existing team members, and contributing to ongoing integrations, etc.
