- Teach 3 to 4 sections of third grade Art.
- Write student progress reports for 3 rd grade Art twice/year.
- Communicate with homeroom teachers and parents about student concerns.
- Collaborate with Lower School Art teachers in to support their programming needs, including general classroom preparation to highly specialized assistance.
- Photographing, mounting, displaying, and digitally archiving student artwork.
- Provide artwork for community chalkboard on a monthly basis to celebrate cultural and heritage months, and community events.
- Staff one afternoon per week in the Lower School after school program until 5:15 pm.
- Attend faculty meetings and perform faculty duties as assigned. Qualifications:
- Experience teaching, including effective classroom management strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Fine arts background
- Experience working with clay, various drawing materials, paper, and printmaking preferred
- Sharp attention to detail
- Competence with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with Google Classroom and Zoom video conferencing required
