    Description

    Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles.

    The hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II trauma center, the Los Angeles Center for Womens Health, obstetrics and pediatric services, and comprehensive cardiac and surgical services.

    The hospital shares a legacy of humankindness with Dignity Health, one of the nations five largest health care systems. TheHope Street Family Center (HSFC) was established in 1992 as a community program of California Hospital Medical Center.

    Original program funding was provided by aresearch and demonstration grant from the federal Head Start Bureau as a national effort to develop more effective ways to support young children and families.

    This position is responsible for providing support to families involved in the child welfare or probation systems of care.

    The Parent Partner provides in-home services and assists families in accessing needed community resources.
    Interfaces professionally with DCFS DMH court systems schools and other community liaisons.
    A minimum of one-year experience in community outreach and advocacy work preferred.
    Past consumer of DMH DCFS Probation Regional Center or similar services successfully transitioned to self-sufficiency.
    Bilingual English Spanish language skills required
    A valid California driver's license use of a car and certificate of insurance.
