- Provides support for actuarial experience studies for all key assumptions, including policyholder behavior, capital requirements, and expense assumptions as needed.
- Utilizes Power BI to perform experience study analysis, updating the appropriate analytic tools.
- Mines and analyzes organizational data, including, but not limited to, financial, reporting, expenditure, and revenue data sets.
- Augments interactive dashboards and reports using technologies such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Updates key performance indicators (KPIs), real-time dashboards, and/or reports to track business performance.
- Collects, cleans, and preprocesses data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Interprets data findings to uncover actionable insights and opportunities for business growth.
- Actively participates and contributes to the goals and objectives of the Company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize workflows, establish and meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and respond to change in a positive manner.
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to navigate multiple systems and programs including Microsoft Office, proprietary systems, and other technology solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required, including a high degree of professionalism.
- Carries out responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with Atlanta Life Insurance's Core Values and focus on customer service; helps to create an environment of openness and trust for all employees and strives for continued professional skills development.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics required.
- Preference is given to actuarial students who have passed at least one Actuarial exam (through the Society of Actuaries) preferred.
