    Description
    HTI is seeking CNC Set Up Tech for a leading automotive manufacturer in Blythewood, SC.

    The CNC Set Up Tech operates and maintains adjustments of production related machinery, such as CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, boring machines, grinders, assembly machines and various inline inspection machinery.

    The CNC Set Up Tech openings are on 2nd and 3rd shifts and will pay up to $ /hour (DOE) with a shift differential for working the off shift.

    What You Need:

    Associate's degree (Machine Tool Technology preferred) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and/or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    What Your Role Will Look Like:
    The CNC Set Up Tech must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements of the CNC Set Up Tech are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or the ability required.

    Please see the following essential duties:

    Determine causes of machine malfunction, and make adjustments or repairs in order for machine to process materials in accordance to specifications within a timely manner.

    If unable to make repair, consult with Lead Setup and/or Maintenance and/or Section Leader in a timely manner. Perform operational preventative maintenance as needed. Check machine cycle time to ensure production process is in accordance with process specifications on a daily basis. Utilize dial indicators, chamfer gauges, calipers and other measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met.

    If manufacturing process is causing quality issues, Machine Setup will stop production and consult with Section Leader and/or Area Manager immediately.

    Perform routine inspections of parts to assist operators in meeting production schedules. Operate and maintain adjustments of various machines as necessary to meet production scheduled and quality standard. Record production results, quality checks, scrap, downtime and shortstops on a daily basis. Assist on changeovers as needed.

    To direct, lead and train other Setup associates/operators daily work assignments and accountable for the work performed for the line/department.

    Knowledge of different processes (Grinding, Turning, and Assembly) Responsible for all 5"S" and general housekeeping daily. Perform major cleanup as needed.
