    Description

    Location: Washington, DC (free parking)

    Senior Accountant

    Responsibilities:

    • Senior Accountant will complete payroll recs - making sure coded properly and troubleshooting the coding, biweekly
    • Senior Accountant will post payroll entries to general ledger
    • On a monthly basis, Senior Accountant will complete reconciliations that involve 2 locations. Will recognize revenues & expenses to get to Net Income for reimbursements
    • Senior Accountant will support monthly close
    • Senior Accountant will eventually do bank recs and oversee wire transfers and ACH payments
    • Ideally, Senior Accountant will help with implementing efficiencies
    • Additional tasks and projects supporting Controller including debits & credits, ad hoc analysis, etc.

    Requirements:

    • Degree preferred
    • Must have general accounting or bookkeeping background - strong understanding of debits & credits
    • Previous ERP system experience (Sage 300 CRE is the ERP - any exposure to Sage software would be a plus)
    • Understanding of how to reach a contract would be helpful
    • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP's)
    • Previous real estate industry experience is a plus but NOT required
