    Senior Accountant

    Responsibilities:

    • Senior Accountant will be responsible for AP for 4 entities (with one of the entities only requiring checks quarterly). Data entry, printing, and mailing checks (20 checks/week). Will reconcile ap.
    • Senior Accountant will complete account reconciliations and journal entries
    • Senior Accountant will enter cash receipts into Protech (AMS) - will be trained on the AMS
    • Senior Accountant will complete data entry - entering AR and AP into Aristotle 360, then filing a report monthly
    • Senior Accountant will need to work in a manual environment - our client is currently implementing Sage Intacct
    • This role will be taking over accounting responsibilities and also helping the Director of Accounting implement new technologies. (The Senior Accountant will be a part of the team that makes the changes, but for now most accounting tasks are done manually.)
    • Senior Accountant will complete ad hoc tasks manual tasks and projects, as requested.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of debits and credits
    • Degree is a plus but not required if someone has the relevant accounting experience to effectively do the job
    • Basic to Intermediate Excel skills
    • Association/Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but NOT required
    • Strong technology skills and capacity to quickly learn new software (Client is currently using Great Plains but will be converting to Sage Intacct)
