    THIS IS A YEAR ROUND POSITION

    EFFECTIVE DATE: June 3, 2024

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School diploma required (minimum)
    • Typing skills minimum 60 words per minute preferred
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of standard office equipment
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Synergy, Schools Open (SPM), and a willingness to be trained in other programs, if needed
    • Is able to compose written text using proper grammar and punctuation
    • Understands importance of accuracy
    • Must exhibit good telephone etiquette
    • Is able to observe school problems without carrying them into the community
    • Grammar, spelling, punctuation, and fundamental mathematics skills necessary
    • Maintains confidentiality regarding students and staff
    • Must be neat and well groomed
    • Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing
    • Is able to get along well with a wide variety of people and work as a team player
    • Is able to be self-directive in organizing and accomplishing office work priorities
    • Is tactful, pleasant, professional, and courteous at all times
    • Can remain relaxed and clear-thinking under stress
    • Exhibits emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for meeting the requirements of the position
    DUTIES:
    • Enrolls and maintains all confidential records for high school students, both past and present
    • Maintains standardized test scores for students
    • Maintains health and immunization records for students
    • Completes guardianship and residency affidavits
    • Willing to serve as a notary
    • Processes Department of Social Services & Social Security Administration applications for students
    • Processes Advanced Placement testing registrations (including payments)
    • Coordinates and implements all local scholarships and handles related check requests, including scholarship renewals
    • Prepares Senior Honors Night and Commencement materials
    • Prepares student biographies and orders awards for the Kiwanis Luncheon which recognizes all students graduating wtih a 3.9 or above GPA
    • Coordinate Financial Aid Night (FAFSA) including recruiting and supervising student volunteers
    • Maintains the Davison High School profile for colleges and annual yearly progress (AYP)
    • Maintain student transcripts on the NCAA and NAIA websites
    • Submit current student transcripts to Parchment and handle all transcript requests from Parchment for current and former students
    • Maintains and collects student fines
    • Composes and types counselor correspondence
    • Processes summer school grades
    • Processes online course grades
    • Coordinate students 'testing out' of classes and process their final grades
    • Work with Child Protective Services staff needing to visit with students or staff
    • Process work permits for students
    • Trains, supervises, and evaluates co-op student
    • Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance
    • Other duties as assigned
    SALARY: Per the DESA Master Agreement, Level 1, $ $19.85 commensurate with experience
