    Job DescriptionPart time Medical Biller / Receptionist opening in the Hartford area. Perfect opportunity for a person who is looking to work 20 hours per week. Our client is flexible with scheduling and is open to arrangements either in the mornings or afternoons.
    $18 - $20 per hour depending on experience. Long-term employment potential for the right Medical Biller / Receptionist.
    Medical Billing / Receptionist Responsibilities:
    • Obtain authorizations for medical services as required.
    • Conduct insurance eligibility and benefit checks for patients.
    • Handle outstanding medical claims and address insurance denials promptly.
    • Identify accounts in need of additional follow-up and take necessary actions.
    • Maintain accurate records of patient information and medical insurance details.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
    • Answer the main number and direct calls as necessary.
    • Schedule appointments and follow up with confirmation calls and texts.
    Qualifications for this Medical Biller / Receptionist opening include:
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical receptionist or medical billing role.
    • Proficiency in medical billing processes and terminology.
    • Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with medical software and electronic health records systems preferred.
    • Certification as a Medical Biller is a plus.
