Job Title: Medical Biller

A well-established and independently owned pharmacy in Queens is looking to add a Medical Biller to its ever-growing and expanding team. This pharmacy has a capacity of a major chain that brings a homegrown and community-driven personality into the market. Job Responsibilities:

· Assisting in resolving billing issues

· Ensuring claims are paid in a timely manner, according to contract terms

· Participating in researching and resolving payment discrepancies

· Generate and mail invoices to private payers & Home Health Agencies

· Following up with payments and collections

· Apply necessary modifications and post general journal entries into QuickBooks

· Contacting patients daily regarding reimbursement information & account balances

· Charge credit cards and schedule patients on a monthly payment plan

· Maintain patient records consistently and accurately with the necessary documentation

Qualifications:

· High School diploma required

· 1+ Years of medical billing on patient accounts

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task, learn fast, and efficiently

· Outstanding telephone etiquette and communication skills

· Proficient in billing and collections
