Reporting Relationships
The DHRO reports directly to SGBs Shareholders, with one Shareholder as primary supervisor. The DHRO has between five and six direct reports, including one administrative assistant; and partners with the Shareholders to manage approximately 20 litigation support staff.
Location & Schedule
SGBs main office is in downtown Seattle on the 34th floor of the new Rainier Square Building at 401 Union. Most of our employees work a hybrid, flexible schedule, though some admin staff are in the office every day. At least initially, we would expect the DHRO to work in the downtown office four days/week, with one day remote, depending on the firms needs. We anticipate that the opportunity for remote work and overall flexibility of hours to increase as the DHRO becomes more established at the firm. Occasional work should be expected during evening hours and on weekends, such as for firm events or retreats.
About SGB
Schroeter Goldmark & Bender is a small law firm, founded over 50 years ago on the principle that ordinary people deserve first-rate lawyers when fighting against powerful interests. The firm is a leader in the areas of personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, civil rights, crime victim representation, and class actions targeting wage theft and consumer abuse. SGB is owned and operated by a group of Shareholders (the partners), who are actively engaged in the practice of law, stewardship of the business, and mentoring and supervising SGB attorneys and litigation staff. There are presently nine (9) Shareholders. At SGB, we understand that our success is a testament to the hard work of our employees and our steadfast commitment to civil justice.
Inclusion
Schroeter Goldmark & Bender is a workplace of respect and inclusion; we encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.
