    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled Program Assistant to join our team in Trenton, NJ. If you are passionate about helping individuals find affordable housing, this position might be what you're looking for.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Engage in outreach activities to connect with property owners and management companies.
    • Become knowledgeable about available affordable housing sites and subsidies.
    • Maintain an up-to-date housing portfolio.
    • Provide participants with housing options that meet their needs.
    • Offer information on incentives for landlords leasing to program participants.
    • Assist participants with housing search and application processes.
    • Ensure timely placement of participants in suitable housing.
    • Help participants overcome barriers to securing housing.
    • Advocate for participants to expedite housing access.
    • Coordinate inspections and follow up on corrective actions with landlords.
    • Explain lease agreements to participants and address housing-related issues.
    • Assist clients with moving arrangements.
    • Conduct post-placement visits to support housing retention.
    • Participate in collaborative meetings and networks related to housing.
    • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Work Hours:

    • 8 am-4 pm
    • Lunch Hours (unpaid): 1hr

    Additional Information:

    • Dress code: Business
    • Parking: Perry Street lot
    • Coverage: North, Central, and South NJ
    • Mileage reimbursement provided
