We need a strong leader to help us fulfill our mission of helping millions of companies improve their business performance through better use of data.
This role represents a huge opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a great growth story, given our current traction and that our product is the only affordable software available that lets companies visualize, monitor, benchmark, forecast and report performance with data that's pulled from hundreds of other tools.
The RoleAlthough a 10-year old company, this is a ground floor opportunity.We've built one of the lowest customer acquisition cost (CAC) funnels in SaaS through our scrappy investments in SEO, content co-marketing and product-led growth.
But, up until now, the majority of our resources have been invested in product development and customer success.Now, with an award-winning product, raving customers, established upgrade paths and increasing market demand, we're at a stage where investments in marketing get us a quick payback while maintaining strong unit economics.
This person will jump in to manage the current teams, as well as add new team members to scale up current initiatives and expand our marketing channels and tactics.
The Marketing TeamOn day one, you'll assume responsibility for three teams:a content and co-marketing team, a growth team focused on PPC and our product marketing team.
Our marketing team is currently small (8 people) but mighty, generating ~6,500 signups for our free product per month (from 250k organic website sessions), while helping to improve results across the entire customer lifecycle.
We have primarily achieved this high volume of organic traffic through a unique approach to our content strategy where we gather, analyze and publish data through surveys and benchmark studies.
This also allows us to cover a wide range of topics - all relevant to our product and users - since we're tapping into the collective knowledge of our audience and customers.
We turn this traffic into a large number of signups by offering free dashboard templates and a free-forever product.Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll work closely with our Co-Founder, VP Sales & Services, VP of Product, Director of RevOps and the rest of the management team to to align our company and marketing strategies, manage and lead the marketing team, and be accountable to execution and results of ongoing marketing activities and new growth projectsAs our marketing efforts continue to grow, we need someone to help us run and scale our existing processes, brainstorm and manage new strategies with our executive team, and help us drive performance of the business.
The ResponsibilitiesYou'll lead the marketing function.Responsibilities include leading the strategy, planning, research, creation, execution, and results of our marketing across the full life cycle, including:
building and engaging our audience to create demand, generating signups, educating and nurturing free users, customers and partners in order to drive product adoption, sales, retention and upgrades.
Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including internal team members and specialized consultants, when necessary. Align marketing goals to company goals and be accountable for achieving them. Work collaboratively with product leadership to refine, improve and expand product-market fit, product positioning and promotion. Monitor, report, forecast and improve results from all marketing activities. Prioritize marketing projects and channels and allocate resources to balance short-term and long-term impact.Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of the company's objectivesThe Skills5+ years of marketing leadership experience in one or more high-growth B2B SaaS companies, ideally as a VP of Marketing or Marketing Director.
Proven experience collaborating with internal stakeholders to prioritize deliverables that best align with the company's global strategy and Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)Strategic, data-obsessed, analytical mindset, with an ability to make complex decisions.
Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing data an absolute must. Proven project management skills.Experience in developing, building, and scaling marketing teams in a high-growth environment.
Exceptional English writing, speaking, and communication skills.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, marketing automation platforms like HubSpot Marketing, email marketing software, and market research tools like SurveyMonkey.
Highly motivated team player with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within the company as well as external partners.
