    The Role

    The Internal Communications Senior Manager will be a leader in creating and successfully executing innovative communications strategies that drive business and culture transformation at Lumen, with emphasis on our Operations organization.

    The ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated, highly collaborative individual who will act as a trusted advisor with senior executives and will own the strategic creation of engaging messaging and successful communications campaigns.

    This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.
    The Main Responsibilities

    • Owns and drives the creation, implementation and adoption of internal communication plans and campaigns. Leads with creativity and innovation, with the ability to identify trends and grasp new ideas & concepts.
    • Provides strategic leadership to manage highly complex development and distribution of compelling and businesscritical content on internal communication channels, with emphasis on our Operations organization. Conducts regular reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure content is on track.
    • Develops strong relationships with VPs and Senior Leadership across the organization to act as a trusted advisor and to measure the impact and effectiveness of internal communication initiatives, providing datadriven feedback and recommendations for improvement.
    • Effectively navigates a matrixed environment and provides service to internal stakeholders in a large, corporate environment where coordination, collaboration and communication across multiple organizations is required for alignment, approvals, decisionmaking and governance.
    • Contributes to the creation, implementation and adoption of the latest trends and innovations in internal communication and employee engagement.
    • Works in a team environment, influencing others to achieve results.
    What We Look For in a Candidate

    • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field
    • 10+ years of experience, 8+ years of experience with master's degree
    • Keen understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful internal communication strategies and campaigns, preferably within an Operations organization with a focus on kaizen practices
    • Strong sense of detail and urgency, with the ability to motivate others to deliver strong executive communication, presentation & influencing skills. Experience in working with senior stakeholders (VPs and above)
    • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to drive results, influence diverse stakeholders and own the strategic guidance and tracking of critical crossfunctional programs and projects
    • Creative and innovative, with the ability to generate new and fresh ideas for internal communication
    • Inquisitive, with the ability to identify trends and grasp new ideas & concepts
    Compensation
    The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

    $111,480 - $148,630 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD
    $117,340 - $156,450 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY
    $123,210 - $164,280 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
    $129,080 - $172,100 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA

    As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
    This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
