    PURPOSE STATEMENT

    The Event Coordinator oversees all captains & servers during event setup, the event and breakdown (If needed) as well as assist the Manager on Duty (MOD) with any event needs as requested; also responsible for delivering the Rich Experience and highest standards of customer service, including assisting the MOD with training staff to meet those standards.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

    Oversee Catering Captains & Servers
    Attending weekly catering follow up and BEO meetings.
    Train catering captains & servers.
    Assist with additional event preperations.
    Create checklists for event equipment.
    Maintain storage rooms organization at WHQ weekly.
    Oversee captains during events, and assist the MOD as needed.
    Train new servers and bartenders on proper operational procedures and customer service standards.
    Directly work with the customer during the event to ensure their complete satisfaction.
    Maintain exemplary food safety, facility maintenance, operations and safety practices.
    Work in necessary roles throughout Campus Foodservice when needed (Meeting Services, Porter Team, Dolly's, & Drop Offs, etc.).
    Plan & execute yearly re-training exercise for all catering staff.
    Completing event checklists, prior to the event.
    Complete event sheets & binders, including setup, dinner service and breakdown.
    - Email and communicate these sheets with the captains.
    Attend final meetings & ceremony rehearsals with sales managers.
    ADP timecard coding and approval:
    - Add/adjust/code times for each shift.
    - Add in sick time for servers when requested.
    - Assist HR with all timecard related issues.
    - Add credit card tips to paychecks when there is a cash bar.
    Keeping all disciplinary records up to date for staffing.
    Day of the event coordination
    - Checking on captains to ensure staff is keeping to timeline and schedules.
    - Assisting with setup and dinner service.
    - Checking in on clients to ensure we can help with all needs and fix any issues before they arise.
    - Setting up the contacts extras/equipment/dcor on the event day.
    - Wedding party and event timeline management.
    - Confirm load in/delivery times with event vendors.
    - Assisting all vendors during events.
    - Day of point of contact for all events.

    Event Coordinator - Administrative

    Print captain's reports for follow up meeting weekly then scan in with past event.
    Powerhouse cleaning/organization:
    - Rented linen returns.
    - Organization of the server area/storage spaces weekly.
    - Assist Director of Catering with special projects as needed.
    Interview Servers.
    Ordering linen:
    - Aramark weekly.
    - Choice, Ultimate, & BBJ as needed.
    - Putting linen away upon delivery at Atrium weekly.
    - Coordinating return of all rented linen.
    Ordering new linen & accessories (skirt clips etc.) as needed.
    Ordering server uniforms:
    - Vests, ties, event staff T-shirts as needed.
    - Keep inventory of uniform items up to date.
    Truck rental coordination:
    - U-Haul, Penske, & Ryder

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a catering/banquet captain with an established banquet facility.
    • Direct customer service experience
    • Bartender experience.
    • Must be able to drive box trucks.
    • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to react to any customer or associate situation quickly and appropriately.

    COMPENSATION

    In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

    Annual Range/Hourly Rate

    $57, $77,050.00
