LHH has partnered with a well-known nonprofit organization in downtown Washington, DC to identify a Senior Accountant This position is a key player in maintaining balanced books and financial health and will have the opportunity to manage a variety of accounting functionsJob Responsibilities:
Review and post journal entries.
Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations and analyses.
Perform fixed asset depreciation and reconciliations.
Lead the month-end close and produce, analyze, and reconcile financial statements.
Prepare and analyze financial reports and document discrepancies.
Prepare audit schedules and workpapers.
Review accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
CPA highly preferred.
4+ years of experience with nonprofit accounting.
Proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct.
Experience managing the general ledger and month-end close.
Pay Details:
$40.00 to $55.00 per hour
