Position: Transportation Operations Coordinator

As a Transportation Operations Coordinator at Expeditors, you will play a key role in enhancing carrier and service provider performance through effective collaboration and coordination. Your responsibilities include analyzing company and customer requirements, researching transportation methods, and evaluating carrier costs and performance to ensure optimal transportation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service by understanding their needs
Identify and resolve issues that affect customer satisfaction to enhance the overall experience
Oversee daily operations, projects, and performance to achieve agreed-upon KPIs and OKRs
Manage carrier and service provider performance for designated locations
Coordinate transportation activities for inbound and outbound warehouse operations
Collect and analyze data to enhance operational efficiency
Collaborate with various stakeholders to address operational challenges
Act as a liaison between warehouse vendors and carriers
Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries to meet requirements
Proactively address bottlenecks in shipping processes
Track and analyze carrier KPIs for performance evaluation
Prepare reports and presentations on operational metrics
Conduct yard checks and maintain accurate equipment records
Communicate with stakeholders to optimize yard capacities
Provide recommendations for process improvements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years in supply chain, logistics, or transportation
2+ years of warehousing and yard management system experience (preferred)
Experience in carrier performance management
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to develop and implement business processes
Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
Self-driven with effective time and resource management skills
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
