    Description

    GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

    The Archbishop is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular Church entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ's mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community. In order to fulfill his mission, the Archbishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators (clerics, religious, or lay people). He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.

    Each position employed in the Chancery helps to extend the ministry of the Archbishop in particular ways as outlined in the position description

    General Summary of Essential Purpose:

    Provide temporary support to the Communications team functioning as additional office support, assisting with special projects.

    Essential Position Duties:
    1. Working with the archdiocesan website including updates to the online directory and content pages.
    2. Supporting media relations efforts including media list development, reporter research, and media coverage media tracking matrix.
    3. Research for social media efforts including influencer research, development of parish social media channels and content research and development.
    4. Supporting photo library maintenance.
    5. Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    Primary:
    1. Willingness and ability to support the mission of the Church by extending the ministry of the Archbishop.
    2. Ability and desire to use God-given gifts and talents in service of the local Church in support of the collaboration between lay and ordained Ministers.
    Education:
    1. High School degree or equivalent.
    Experience:
    1. Experience using MS Office tools; including Excel.
    2. Familiarity with Canva or other design tool is a plus.
    3. Familiarity with WordPress or website building tool is a plus.
    4. Some experience working in an office environment.
    Other Elements:
    1. Detail oriented and accurate;
    2. Good organizational skills and analytical thinking;
    3. Ability to meet deadlines.
    4. Ability to commit to regularly scheduled hours during office hours, which are Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
    Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
