JOB SUMMARY

The Flag Football Timer/Scorekeeper will be responsible for accurately managing the game clock and recording scores for intramural and varsity level flag football games at Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of flag football rules, and the ability to communicate effectively with officials and team members.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

Manage the game clock and maintain accurate scorebooks for all intramural and varsity level flag football games.
Ensure compliance with the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) rules and local base bylaws.
Collaborate with game officials to ensure accurate recording of scores, fouls, time, and other gamerelated data.
Submit scorebooks/sheets to the Head Official after each game.
Assist in conducting pregame reviews and inspections with officials and coaches.
Communicate any timing or scoring issues or discrepancies to the officials promptly.

SCHEDULE OF WORK

Work Hours: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST, Monday

Friday, excluding federal holidays. This is a parttime position with a total of 20 hours per week.

Flexibility: Additional hours may be required based on game schedules and coordination with Win Win Operations.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE

Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia (VA)

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

The position is tied to the duration of the sports seasons, with potential extensions based on contract renewal.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in timekeeping and scorekeeping for flag football games, preferably at the intramural or varsity level.
Strong knowledge of NIRSA flag football rules and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with officials, coaches, and team members.
Knowledge of local base bylaws is a plus.
