- Procurement: Source and procure a variety of consumables, plant supplies, equipment, parts, tooling, and outsourced products from multiple suppliers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels to ensure reliable availability of materials and equipment when needed to meet customer requirements.
- Supplier Evaluation: Collaborate with new suppliers to guide them through the ISO Supplier Evaluation process, facilitating their inclusion on the Approved Vendor List.
- Purchase Analysis: Analyze each purchase request to assess the need, volume, price, and quantity of materials or products required.
- Slow-Moving Inventory: Assist in addressing slow-moving inventory by implementing strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that procured materials meet quality and performance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement transactions, supplier communications, and inventory levels.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms for the organization.
- Vendor Relationship: Foster positive relationships with suppliers, collaborating to improve procurement processes and resolve issues.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and industry regulations
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools is a plus.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis on Purchasing is desired.
- Alternatively, previous work experience and training may be considered as an acceptable equivalent based on the candidate's demonstrated experience.
- 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a distribution environment, is preferred
