    Overview:

    The Client Onboarding Group Manager - SVP is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.

    Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. External communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.

    Responsibilities:

  • Manages large, complex Securities Services client onboarding programs in the Americas region. Responsible for the direction setting, execution of strategy, issue resolution and accountable delivery across multiple client onboarding programs. Provide strategic direction and feedback with respect to initiative or project creation, alignment to business goals, stakeholder management and executive communications.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, organizations, and business heads.
  • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management. Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business goals.
  • Drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Manage the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Manage the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Indirectly manages teams with respect to on-time and proper execution of tasks, control and reporting to Senior Management. Ensures cohesion between different internal functions and teams.
  • Supports strategic initiatives for departments. Provides oversight of processes, procedures and control functions of activities and ensure effective migrations of new processes, functions into the team, whilst ensuring risk analysis of new processes.
  • Engages in short to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Manages complex and highly variable issues with substantial departmental/product impact.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup , its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • 15 + years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven program/project and process management experience.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to be assertive.
  • Organized with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure.
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Strong Microsoft skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP a plus
  • MBA a plus
