    • Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000
    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Vice Chair of Research in the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health, the Director of Community Engagement for the Child Health Center for Learning and Development and the Trauma-Free NYC Initiative will assist with overall Center development. The Director is responsible for promoting and implementing the educational and training component of the Trauma-Free NYC, including the development of expanded master's level service learning courses and outward facing workshops in collaboration with other Mailman School of Public Health (MSPH) programs and New York City agencies.

    Responsibilities

    • Field supervision of Mailman's Public Health graduate students as they go to Community Based Organization's (CBO) to deliver Adverse Childhood Experience's (ACE) trainings.
    • Co-development curriculum of ACE's trainings; train Mailman's Public Health graduate students to administer ACE trainings; coordinate and schedule field trainings.
    • Manage the selection and hiring process of students and foster professional development.
    • Oversee program evaluation, grant and report writing for CHILD/TFNYC.
    • Engage in development and implementation of a Fellowship program; organize evaluation data collection and analysis with APEx students; and co-create and lead the Student Service Corps.
    • Promote and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations in Northern Manhattan and Harlem.
    • Co-manage with the Director of Programs on the Trauma-Free NYC website, and coordinate with the Office of Communications at the Mailman School of Public Health (MSPH) including creation of webinars and marketing materials.
    • Collaborate with the MSPH Development Office to identify and promote funding opportunities.
    • Oversee the administration, data collection and IRB protocols of Research projects.
    • Oversee and provide guidance on recruitment and research visits.
    • Participate in the selection of neuropsychological tests for future research.
    • Supervise a research staff member.
    • Collaborate with data analysis and paper submissions.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience; plus four years related experience.
    • Requires excellent writing, communication and technological skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in social sciences preferred.
    • Experience working with communities.
